Woman

This is a portrait I painted a few years ago out of the New York Times newspaper. The lighting and composition caught my eye, and the subtle yet charming silver earring drew my attention to the beautiful blue headscarf. The complimentary tones of purple, yellow, and white inspired me to paint the photo, adding little hints of my own story to the piece.
